Retailers Trimming SKUs, But Not Beer SKUs

Retailers want to offer choice to attract a wide swath of customers. But on the other hand, they want to simplify their operations and rationalize their limited shelf space by limiting brands and more particularly, packages. In this economy, even more so. So it's not surprising that Retail Wire reports that "industry execs and analysts predict that assortments over the next year or so will be reduced at least 15 percent."
