While some retailers are trying to compete on price in this uber-competitive but still flattish beer market, California chain Raley's is leaning on the high-end more than ever. (Raley's owns and operates 128 stores across California and Nevada, including Bel Air Markets, Nob Hill Foods, and Food Source.) Beer, wine and spirits buyer Curtis Mann says they've enjoyed healthy traffic and trends in recent years.
