Diageo Reaffirms Commitment to Beer

"Diageo is determined to develop its participation in beer," says Diageo cfo Nick Rose in an investor webcast yesterday devoted entirely to its beer business. While the webcast focused on the African and Asian markets, it underscored a consistent mantra from Diageo lately that it is committed to its beer business, particularly Guinness which represents about half of its net beer sales, with the other half coming from more local brands
