Details on the Changes Made to CARE Act

Recap: In a bid to make progress before Congress adjourns, CARE Act lead sponsor Rep. Bill Delahunt sent a letter to House Judiciary Chairman Rep. Conyers proposing modifications to H.R. 5034. In that letter, obtained by BBD, Rep. Delahunt writes that while the bill has received "broad, bipartisan support" with 136 co-sponsors, "there were concerns about unintended consequences of the language as written."
