Now that it's slow let's take a look at Nielsen data provided by Nick Late for the month ending April 23, which includes up to the day before Easter. Unfortunately, Easter timing was not a major factor in April's soft sales as we had hoped. Nick told BBD that "I suspect we have several things going on that are impacting consumers including higher fuel prices, higher commodity prices, consumer confidence is still low and unemployment is still high, not to mention the lousy weather across most of the US."
